AUBURN, Ala. - On Dec. 3rd, 2025, Auburn Police arrested Derrick Nelson, age 41, from Auburn, Alabama, on warrants charging him with four counts of unlawful breaking and entering into a vehicle and two counts of theft of property fourth degree.

The arrest stems from Auburn Police receiving a report of multiple auto burglaries on Nov. 19, 2025. Several vehicles parked in the 200 block of South College Street were unlawfully entered, and items were stolen.

Derrick Nelson was developed as a suspect and, after further investigation, arrest warrants were obtained. Nelson was located by police on Dec. 3 and arrested in obedience to the warrants. He was then transported to the Lee County Jail and held on a $14,000 bond.

All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
